The Cursor is WAC's monthly newsletter, in an 8.5 x11 format of twelve pages with ten pages of computer news, articles, and commentary. A typical issue contains a column by WAC's President noting meeting events and items of interest to the membership, followed by general interest articles (e.g. HTML tutorials, computer upgrade tips, etc), and sections devoted to WAC's Special Interest Groups (e.g. Intel / AMD Windows PCs, GNU/Linux). These sections, put together by WAC's SIG Leaders, usually include news pertinent to the SIG culled from the Internet and other sources.
The Cursor is protected by copyright, but WAC encourages reprints of articles. Reprints must not be abridged or modified, and must identify the author, The Cursor, and the Washington Area Computer User Group. Please contact WAC about downloadable articles, and article submission procedures.
A guide for writers is available here.
