Eat the Whistle - v3.0beta. GNU General Public License source code and executable by Hurricane Studios. Originally a commercial soccer game for the Amiga, Hurricane Studios ported Eat the Whistle to run on multiple operating systems with the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) and released the game as Open Source. Features include: window or fullscreen mode; customized players, teams, leagues, and World cup play; keyboard or joypad/joysticks control; more than 550 frames of animations for the players, 300 for the goalkeeper, 100 for the referee and a lot of other graphics; 30 different fields, including muddy, frozen and wet; fouls, corners, throw-in, heading, and other special shots with an intuitive control system; role playing (you can play a match as the whole team or only as a player); arcade-like actions for "arcade mode" (powerups, bonuses); replays (with load/save option). This game requires SDL v1.2.0 runtime (included with most Linux distributions), a Linux x86 PC with X Window System, at least 32MB of RAM and a Pentium class processor.

Gaim - v0.68. GNU General Public License source code, Gaim is a multi-protocol instant messaging client for Linux, BSD, MacOS X, and Windows. It is compatible with AIM (Oscar and TOC protocols), ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Zephyr networks. Gaim users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time. Gaim supports many features of the various networks, such as file transfer (coming soon), away messages, typing notification, and MSN window closing notification. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features. A few popular features are Buddy Pounces, which give the ability to notify you, send a message, play a sound, or run a program when a specific buddy goes away, signs online, or returns from idle; and plugins, consisting of text replacement, a buddy ticker, extended message notification, iconify on away, and more. Gaim runs on a number of platforms, including Windows, Linux, and Qtopia (Sharp Zaurus and iPaq). Gaim integrates well with GNOME 2 and KDE 3.1's system tray, as well as Windows's own system tray. This allows you to work with gaim without requiring the buddy list window to be up at all times.

KGuitar - v0.4.9. GNU General Public License source code by Mikhail Yakshin. The KGuitar project was started for developing an efficient and easy-to-use environment for a guitarist. There are many tasks that guitarists do every day and that can be made easier to do when using computer. Examples of such tasks include finding of chord fingerings, writing & reading tabulatures, converting classic note score to the tabulature form and vice versa, transposition of the whole song or its parts and many others. The main features of KGuitar include: Free GPLed program; K Desktop Environment GUI; Powerful and convenient tabulature editing, including many effects and classical note score editing for classic instrument players; Full and very customizable MIDI to tabulature import and export; Support of extra data formats, such as ASCII tabulatures or popular programs' format, such as Guitar Pro's or TablEdit; Chord fingering construction tools - chord finder & chord analyzer; Highly customizable to suit a lot of possible instruments (not only 6-stringed guitars, and even not only guitars), including drum tracks, lyrics and other MIDI events.

Search and Rescue - v0.8.1. GNU General Public License source code and Mandrake RPM package by WolfPack Entertainment. Search and Rescue is a 3D rescue flight simulator featuring AS-350, HH-65 Dolphin, HH-60 JayHawk, S-64 Skycrane, KA-27 Helix-D, B-47 and UH-1D Iroquis helicopters and the tilt-rotor V-22 Osprey aircraft. Fly your chosen aircraft in day or night missions or free flight mode under varying weather conditions. Missions involve rescuing victims at land or sea using Infrared, spotlight, and basket hoist. A manual and scenary editor source code is included.

TightVNC - v1.2.9. GNU General Public License source code and Red Hat 7.x RPM package by Constantin Kaplinsky. TightVNC is a free remote control package derived from the popular VNC software. With TightVNC, you can see the desktop of a remote machine and control it with your local mouse and keyboard, just like you would do it sitting in the front of that computer.

Trax Sequencer Engine v3 - v0.2.7. GNU General Public License source code and Mandrake and Red Hat RPM packages by Pete Goodliffe. TSE3 is a powerful open source sequencer engine written in C++. It is a 'sequencer engine' because it provides the actual driving force elements of a sequencer but provides no form of user interface. Sequencer applications or multimedia presentation packages will incorporate the TSE3 libraries to provide a user with MIDI sequencing facilities.
