AirSnort - v0.2.2a. GNU General Public License source code by Blake Hegerle, Jeremy Bruestle, and snacks snax. AirSnort is a wireless LAN (WLAN) tool which recovers Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption keys. AirSnort operates by passively monitoring transmissions, computing the encryption key when enough packets (5-10 million) have been gathered. AirSnort supports wireless cards that have RF monitor mode, such as Cisco Aironet, Prism2, and Orinoco based NICs.

gkismet - v0.0.4 and v0.0.5. GNU General Public License source code by Anton Solovyev. gkismet is a GTK graphic frontend for the Kismet wireless sniffer. It requires Kismet, Perl, and the Perl Gtk module.

Kismet - v3.0.1. GNU General Public License source code, Red Hat 9 package (v2.8.1) and Debian package (v3.0.0) by Mike Kershaw et al. Kismet is an 802.11 wireless network sniffer - this is different from a normal network sniffer (such as Ethereal or tcpdump) because it separates and identifies different wireless networks in the area. Kismet works with any 802.11b wireless card which is capable of reporting raw packets (rfmon support), which include any prism2 based card (Linksys, D-Link, Rangelan, etc), Cisco Aironet cards, and Orinoco based cards. Kismet also supports the WSP100 802.11b remote sensor by Network Chemistry and is able to monitor 802.11a networks with cards which use the ar5k chipset.

scribus - v1.0.1. GNU General Public License source code, RPM package (v0.9.5) and Debian package (v1.0.1) by Franz Schmid. Scribus is a desktop publishing program for GNU/Linux®, with the ability to layout newsletters, create corporate stationery, small posters and other documents that need flexible layout and/or the ability to output to professional quality imagesetting equipment. You can do all the typical tasks like placing and rotating text and/or images on a page, specify manual kerning of type and much more. While the goals of the program are for ease of use and simple easy to understand tools, Scribus offers support for professional publishing features, such as CMYK color, easy PDF creation (including interactive PDF forms and PDF/X-3 compliant output), PDF import, Encapsulated Postscript import/export and creation of color separations. Graphic formats which can be placed include Encapsulated Post Script (eps), Joint Photographic Experts Group (jpeg), Portable Network Graphics (png) and XPixMap (xpm). The internal printer driver fully supports Level 2 Postscript constructs and a limited subset of Level 3. The driver that ships with Scribus can embed fonts for printing and you can use and output high resolution EPS files. Other features include manual kerning of type and embedding fonts in PDF's. The file format is based on XML, allowing even damaged documents to be partially recovered with a simple text editor - sometimes a challenging problem with other page layout programs. When run from the K Desktop Enviroment 3.x, you can drag and drop from the desktop to the pasteboard easily. There is a drag and drop scrapbook, which can contain frequently used items including text blocks, pictures and custom shapes. Version 1.0 of Scribus supports both True Type and Type1 Postscript fonts.

ScummVM - v0.5.1. GNU General Public License source code, RPM package, and Debian package by the ScummVM Team. ScummVM is an interpreter/emulator for several 2D adventure game engines, including Beneath a Steel Sky by Revolution, Simon the Sorcerer (1 and 2) by Adventure Soft, and LucasArts SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) games such as Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, Monkey Island, and more. This release features an extensive overhaul of the music subsystem (more games now support music), support for the Enhanced (V2) versions of Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken, support for Beneath a Steel Sky (made possible thanks to Revolution Software supplying the original assembly source code!), and Aspect Ratio correction by popular request. Revolution Software generously released their 1994 cult classic Sci Fi game Beneath a Steel Sky as freeware in support of the ScummVM project, and the complete CD version of the game (including speech) is included.
