FCE Ultra - v0.96. GNU General Public License source code by Ben Parnell and packages (v0.94) for Red Hat 9 and Debian. FCE Ultra is a portable Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)/Famicom emulator based on Bero's original FCE source. Current features include good PPU, CPU, pAPU, expansion chip, and joystick emulation. Also a feature unique to this emulator (at the current time) is authentic Game Genie emulation. Save states and snapshot features also have been implemented. The VS Unisystem is emulated as well. FCE Ultra supports iNES format ROM images, iNES and FWNES style FDS disk images, and NSF files (not provided). Requires SVGALib (included with major Linux distributions).

Pathological - v1.1.3. GNU General Public License Python code and Debian package by John-Paul Gignac. Pathological is an enriched clone of the game "Logical" by Rainbow Arts written in the Python programming language. To solve a level, fill each wheel with four marbles of matching color. Various board elements such as teleporters, switches, filters, etc., make the game interesting and challenging. New levels can be created using your favorite text editor. The game requires Python and the Pygame library (see below).

Python - v2.2.3 (stable) and v2.3c1 (beta). Free Python Software Foundation License source code, RPM, and Debian packages. Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language. It is often compared to Tcl, Perl, Scheme or Java. Python combines remarkable power with very clear syntax. It has modules, classes, exceptions, very high level dynamic data types, and dynamic typing. There are interfaces to many system calls and libraries, as well as to various windowing systems (X11, Motif, Tk, Mac, MFC). New built-in modules are easily written in C or C++. Python is also usable as an extension language for applications that need a programmable interface.

Pygame - v1.5.6. Free GNU Lesser General Public License source code source code and RPM and Debian packages by Pete Shinners et al.. Pygame is a set of Python modules designed for writing games. It is written on top of the excellent SDL library (required, included with major distributions). This allows you to create fully featured games and multimedia programs in the python language. Pygame is highly portable and runs on nearly every platform and operating system.
