A Tale in the Desert Client - Free commercial Linux executable from eGenesis. This is the Linux client software for the Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game "A Tale in the Desert" (See description in MMORPG! article). The minimum (recommended) system requirements are: Internet connection; Pentium 400 (Pentium 700); 192MB (256MB) RAM; 3D Accelerator (GeForce) video card.

LAB3D/SDL - v1.0. Free source code and Linux executable by Jan Lönnberg. LAB3D/SDL is a port of Ken Silverman's classic 1993 3D maze game Ken's Labyrinth. This code has been tested on Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, SuSE Linux 7.2, Debian Linux 2.2, SunOS 5.8 (Solaris 8) and FreeBSD 4.7. LAB3D/SDL uses OpenGL to provide hardware accelerated, anti-aliased graphics with trilinear interpolation in true colour (where available), and features multiple simultaneous sound effects and improved General MIDI music. Requires SDL libraries (included in most GNU/Linux distributions) and accelerated 3D video card. Rated 5 stars by users.

XFree86 - v4.3.0. Free XFree86 License source code and binary glibc 2.3 distribution. XFree86(tm) is a freely redistributable open-source implementation of the X Window System, which provides the client/server interface between display hardware (the mouse, keyboard, and video displays) and the desktop environment. XFree86 runs primarily on UNIX(r) and UNIX-like operating systems such as Linux, all of the BSD variants, Sun Solaris x86, Mac OS X (via Darwin), as well as other platforms like OS/2 and Cygwin. This release includes support for alpha-blended and animated cursors, automatic detection of PS/2 mice, new NVIDIA, Intel, National Semiconductor, and ATI Radeon video chipsets, an updated font backend, and the AMD x86-64 processor.
